A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to invalid email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss emails because the other party has an obsolete email address or has made a spelling error. The downside of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of junk email messages, but this issue can be resolved by using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound emails to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty in case you’ve got a cloud hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet stunningly intuitive, and it will enable you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have set up will be displayed alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking it once again will deactivate it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this feature enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will permit you to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without effort even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to accomplish that is click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve set up with your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. As you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you don’t need this feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
